Note from the Publisher

We just discovered that my oldest, who turns 8 next week, needs a trip to the eye doctor. He's always had perfect vision but it turns out he's recently been having trouble seeing things at a distance. {sigh} My husband and I knew this day would come (and will likely be coming soon for our youngest, too) because he and I both wear contacts. But, as a parent, you still have that small glimmer of hope that your kids won't end up with your same trouble spots. {And, yes, we've already had visits to the orthodontist, too!} He, of course, thinks getting glasses is the coolest thing ever and wants them today! At least he's excited about it, for now anyway!

In other exciting news, Amber, It Works Consultant extraordinaire, and I are inviting you to an It Works Mommy Wrap Day where you can come get skinny in 45 minutes and bring your kids along! Let's face it, it's tough getting out without them sometimes, so this time, you don't have to! I really think It Works products are great (and they work!), and I know once you'll try them, you'll think so too! Grab your mommy playdate friends and let's have a fun morning out! Plus, we'll have some fun things to occupy the kiddos while you get your wrap on!

And, one last announcement: We are putting together a list of all the Vacation Bible Schools in the Roanoke area and need your help! It's completely free to get your VBS listed with us, simply fill out this FORM as soon as possible!

Get Organized with Wow Organzing

It's not as scary as you think!

Last week I had the pleasure of having Ann from Wow Organizing come to my home. I've always felt I was a fairly organized person, so I wasn't really sure how a professional organizer could help a control freak like me. But after talking to Ann, I realized that having a professional come in and take a look at things with a fresh set of objective eyes certainly couldn't hurt anything, could it?

The room I wanted her to help me tackle was a 4th bedroom turned ...
